The Oak Tree

A mighty wind blew night and day

It stole the oak tree's leaves away

Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark

Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground

While other trees fell all around

The weary wind gave up and spoke.

How can you still be standing Oak?

The oak tree said, I know that you

Can break each branch of mine in two

Carry every leaf away

Shake my limbs, and make me sway

But I have roots stretched in the earth

Growing stronger since my birth

You'll never touch them, for you see

They are the deepest part of me

Until today, I wasn't sure

Of just how much I could endure

But now I've found, with thanks to you

I'm stronger than I ever knew

Things Work Out

Because it rains when we wish it wouldn't,

Because men do what they often shouldn't,

Because crops fail, and plans go wrong

Some of us grumble all day long.

But somehow, in spite of the care and doubt,

It seems at last that things work out.

Because we lose where we hoped to gain,

Because we suffer a little pain,

Because we must work when we'd like to play

Some of us whimper along life's way.

But somehow, as day always follows the night,

Most of our troubles work out all right.

Because we cannot forever smile,

Because we must trudge in the dust awhile,

Because we think that the way is long

Some of us whimper that life's all wrong.

But somehow we live and our sky grows bright,

And everything seems to work out all right.

So bend to your trouble and meet your care,

For the clouds must break, and the sky grow fair.

Let the rain come down, as it must and will,

But keep on working and hoping still.

For in spite of the grumblers who stand about,

Somehow, it seems, all things work out.

Focus on Me

No matter what your circumstance

If you will give Me a chance

I will bring you peace you have never known

I will be your Cornerstone

When you are going through a test

Just enter into My Rest

And you will be completely blessed

If you will just believe

And keep your focus on Me

I will give you strength to overcome

What it is you’re running from

If you will close your natural eyes

And let your spirit begin to rise

Then maybe you would see

That it’s really all about Me

Just focus on Me… And I will bring you Peace

Just focus on Me… There’s no room for unbelief

Just focus on Me… I will be enough.

He Will Stand By Me

I shake not in the hands of fear

persuaded I can't be

I stand tall when the dark draws near

for HE will stand by me

Temptation cannot touch or hold

it cannot conquer me

For am blessed and am told

that HE will stand by me.

Don’t Give Up On God!

God speaks the word and life begins... He speaks... then blessing flows...

He heals the sick... forgives our sins... and evil overthrows...

Through revelation here and there, He reasons with the sad,

He beckons saints to pause in prayer... with reasons to be glad...

His grace transcends our darkest days... His love proves our reward...

So listen to sweet songs of praise! Sing new songs to the Lord!

God's powers grant each miracle! Of that, we can be sure!

There's not one man who knows it all... yet God knows what's in store!

Our Father's love proves He's sublime! Praise God in Jesus Name!

How great is God? You'll know in time! So every blessing claim!

For our Redeemer's still alive... It's Christ we celebrate!

One day, the Rapture will arrive... It's soon and won't be late!

Stand During The Test

In our test, God is building patience and perseverance

He is teaching us to rely, lean and trust in Him.

To stand during the test when our way looks dim

while we’re being built to stand during the test

An attitude of praise must be what we express.

it may seem as if He is taking way too long

And know He gives the hardest test to the strong.

God’s timing is not like ours

He created the day, night and the hours.

He doesn’t come early and He’s never late

He’s just teaching us to stand during or wait.

God wants to show Himself Big, so never doubt

He will perform a miracle when He shows up to show out.
